Day 120

Time sure does fly! I am four months old today, and just shy of 10 pounds. To bad I am only sleeping like a one month old! Apparently I have been keeping Mom up at night because I am making all sorts of noises in my sleep.
I have a doctors appointment for my four month vaccinations today. Tonight I am going with Dad to watch his football game, hopefully for Dad's sake the vaccinations don't make me fussy.

Day 114

I think Mom is showing a lot of restraint in not pinching my chubby cheeks every time she holds me!

Day 110

I had so much fun this weekend! I went on my first road trip with Mom. It was a long 5 hour drive but I slept for most of it. Mom kept telling me how proud she was that I was such a good boy in the car. I got to see Grandma and Grandpa Gainsbrook and spent some time with Aunt Steph and Aunt Jen. I hadn't seen them in a long time. They were surprised to see that I was over 9 pounds.
Happy Fathers Day Dad! I missed you this weekend but am happy to be home cuddling with you again.

Day 107

I got my tongue clipped today. Piece of cake! I hardly even cried. Tomorrow I am making my first big road trip with Mom. We are heading to Barrie to see Grandma and Grandpa Gainsbrook. It's going to be a long time in the car for the two of us. Hopefuly I can sleep most of the way.
Mom tried me in my Bumbo but I am still too small. She'll have to wait until I have better head control. She did manage to snap a picture though.

Day 103

We spent some more time at CHEO again yesterday. Mom and Dad were watching a movie and Dad was holding me. Kiwi decided she wanted to sit with Dad too. She jumped on his lap and missed and when she got scared she ran away and cut me in the process.
The cut on my ear was pretty deep so I had to go to the hospital to get it cleaned out and closed.
The only good thing is that because I am a preemie I get my own room and the doctors came and saw me really quickly. There were lots of other babies waiting up to 5 hours. Mom and Dad need to keep cleaning my cut and hopefully it won't become infected.
My stint in the NICU has made me pretty strong. When the doctor was cleaning the cut and taping it up I didn't even cry.

Day 101

I'm over 100 days old already! Time sure is flying. We had our last appointment with the lactation consultant this week so I got weighed again. 7lbs. 15oz. Mom also made an appointment to get my tongue clipped next week. Now that I am almost 8 pounds Mom and Dad figure I can handle it. I sure hope it doesn't hurt too much.
Mom has ventured out with me more now too. We still haven't gone to a grocery store or Walmart but we did go to a garden centre this week. Hopefully in a few months time Mom and I can join the mommy group that the other moms on our circle have.

I don't like being in my swing anymore. Thankfully for Mom I do like my bouncy chair.

Day 96

Well I spent last Friday morning at CHEO with Mom and Dad because I had been throwing up a lot. They took me in to get checked out and the doctors did an ultrasound of my stomach. Turns out everything is normal and the doctors think it was just my reflux acting up. I have an appointment with a pediatrician on Monday to get checked out.
I am having a lot more awake time during the day which has been fun for Mom. We've actually managed to get out to a few places for some shopping. She keeps me all bundled up in my snuggly so that people won't touch me, but people sure are curious about me. People keep coming up and asking to see me. They are always surprised when Mom tells them I am over three months old.
I got to spend the last two evenings with Grandma Hawley which is always a treat. Mom and Dad went out for Moms birthday dinner one night and then went to the Sens Stanley Cup game last night. They came home pretty excited that the Sens won the game. I guess the crowd was pretty energetic. Hopefully next year I will get to go see a game with them.

Happy Birthday Grandma!
