Day 151

Dad's putting up a sun shade for me and Mom. Of course today it's raining but when the sunshine is back Mom and I can spend some more time outside. I hung out outside while Dad was putting it up.

Day 150

5 months old, I can't believe it! I had my check up yesterday and Mom wasn't imagining things, I am growing into my cheeks. I am 6 cm longer than the last visit. I am now around the 50th percentile for both height and weight.
I am smiling and laughing all the time now, and spend more of my day awake playing with Mom. I probably spend the most time in my day trying to suck my thumb. I am not sure how I managed to do it a long time ago because I find it really hard now. Despite all my concentration I can't figure it out. Most of the time I end up bopping myself in the eye with my fist. Thankfully Mom and Dad haven't taken away my soother yet!
And yes I know it looks like I have a really big head but it's not that big! Actually it's just the right size for my body, around the 50th percentile as well.

Day 145

I'll be two months corrected in three days and so far seem to be right on track. I am just shy of 12 pounds and smiling more and more every day. No one told me I'd be losing so much hair though. I'm nearly bald! I think I am getting a bit taller because I seem to be growing into my chubby cheeks.
I slept for eight straight hours one night last week which made Mom happy. Too bad it was a one shot deal. I followed it up with a fussy night where none of us got much sleep.
Mom and I have been getting out quite a bit. We went to Thea and Andre's cottage, went to a BBQ at Mom's work and spent much of the weekend at the football field watching Dad play in a tournament.

Day 139

The rest of our vacation was good. Dad arrived Friday night to join us. I spent the day with Dad on Saturday while Mom went to Aunt Jen's baby shower. I am so excited to find out if my new cousin will be a boy or a girl. I spent some more time with my cousins Connor and Mackenzie on Sunday. We went to a BBQ at Uncle Ron and Aunt Marg's place. It was nice to meet more of the family. We had a long drive home Sunday night but lucky for me I got to ride shotgun. :-) Just kidding! The pictures are just from a break we took a long the way.
I'm 4 months, 2 weeks and five days old and weigh just over 11 pounds.
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for a great visit. I can't wait to see you again.

Day 135

I'm having a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's. Today Mom and I went to visit Brittney and Nyah and this evening Aunt Jen, Dustin, Connor and Mackenzie came for dinner. Grandma has been doing lots of dairy free, soy free baking for Mom, and today she bought me some cute new sleepers. We sure are getting spoiled. I guess they want me to come back for another visit sometime.

Day 134

Vacation time again. I finally have a minute to update my blog! Things have been busy. Mom and I are getting out much more these days. We made it to the women of Bridgewater BBQ. I was the only guy at the party! Mom also took a trip in to work to show me off to her coworkers.
Today we are in Barrie visiting Grandma and Grandpa Gainsbrook. I get to meet my cousins this weekend and I hear they are pretty excited to meet me. My cousin Mackenzie made a really nice video of me this week. She worked on it for hours and it turned out great. Tomorrow we are taking a trip out to Whitby to meet Moms friend Brittney and her daughter Nyah. It's hard to believe that Nyah is over a year old already.
It's going to be a long couple of days without Dad but he is taking the train to meet us on the weekend. I bet he is getting some good nights sleep while we are gone.

Check out me and Grandpa!

Day 126

Well the vaccinations went fine, no adverse reaction! I am happy to announce that I am over 10 pounds. Turns out I am short, but chubby! I am in the 5th percentile for height but between 25 and 50th for weight. Not that it wasn't already obvious from my photos.
Mom, Dad and I had a nice long weekend together. Happy Canada Day! Today we had an appointment with a pediatric gastroenterologist at CHEO. Mom was told to cut out all dairy and soy products for 1 month. They were also told not to let me spend too much time in my bouncy chair. I guess it's a bad angle for my reflux, but I love my bouncy chair. In an effort to find other things to hold me Mom tried a few other things. First she tried my Bumbo, but I am still too young for it. Then she tried my highchair, not bad, but nothing like my bouncy chair. Hopefully Mom changing her diet will help and I can go back in my chair. In the mean time Mom spends most of the day wearing me in our cuddly wrap.

Thanks to my Aunts for the highchair!
