I have a doctors appointment for my four month vaccinations today. Tonight I am going with Dad to watch his football game, hopefully for Dad's sake the vaccinations don't make me fussy.

Day 120
Time sure does fly! I am four months old today, and just shy of 10 pounds. To bad I am only sleeping like a one month old! Apparently I have been keeping Mom up at night because I am making all sorts of noises in my sleep.

Day 110
I had so much fun this weekend! I went on my first road trip with Mom. It was a long 5 hour drive but I slept for most of it. Mom kept telling me how proud she was that I was such a good boy in the car. I got to see Grandma and Grandpa Gainsbrook and spent some time with Aunt Steph and Aunt Jen. I hadn't seen them in a long time. They were surprised to see that I was over 9 pounds.
Happy Fathers Day Dad! I missed you this weekend but am happy to be home cuddling with you again.

Day 107
I got my tongue clipped today. Piece of cake! I hardly even cried. Tomorrow I am making my first big road trip with Mom. We are heading to Barrie to see Grandma and Grandpa Gainsbrook. It's going to be a long time in the car for the two of us. Hopefuly I can sleep most of the way.
Mom tried me in my Bumbo but I am still too small. She'll have to wait until I have better head control. She did manage to snap a picture though.

Day 103
We spent some more time at CHEO again yesterday. Mom and Dad were watching a movie and Dad was holding me. Kiwi decided she wanted to sit with Dad too. She jumped on his lap and missed and when she got scared she ran away and cut me in the process.
The cut on my ear was pretty deep so I had to go to the hospital to get it cleaned out and closed.
The only good thing is that because I am a preemie I get my own room and the doctors came and saw me really quickly. There were lots of other babies waiting up to 5 hours. Mom and Dad need to keep cleaning my cut and hopefully it won't become infected.
My stint in the NICU has made me pretty strong. When the doctor was cleaning the cut and taping it up I didn't even cry.

Day 101
I'm over 100 days old already! Time sure is flying. We had our last appointment with the lactation consultant this week so I got weighed again. 7lbs. 15oz. Mom also made an appointment to get my tongue clipped next week. Now that I am almost 8 pounds Mom and Dad figure I can handle it. I sure hope it doesn't hurt too much.
Mom has ventured out with me more now too. We still haven't gone to a grocery store or Walmart but we did go to a garden centre this week. Hopefully in a few months time Mom and I can join the mommy group that the other moms on our circle have.
I don't like being in my swing anymore. Thankfully for Mom I do like my bouncy chair.

Day 96
Well I spent last Friday morning at CHEO with Mom and Dad because I had been throwing up a lot. They took me in to get checked out and the doctors did an ultrasound of my stomach. Turns out everything is normal and the doctors think it was just my reflux acting up. I have an appointment with a pediatrician on Monday to get checked out.
I am having a lot more awake time during the day which has been fun for Mom. We've actually managed to get out to a few places for some shopping. She keeps me all bundled up in my snuggly so that people won't touch me, but people sure are curious about me. People keep coming up and asking to see me. They are always surprised when Mom tells them I am over three months old.
I got to spend the last two evenings with Grandma Hawley which is always a treat. Mom and Dad went out for Moms birthday dinner one night and then went to the Sens Stanley Cup game last night. They came home pretty excited that the Sens won the game. I guess the crowd was pretty energetic. Hopefully next year I will get to go see a game with them.
Happy Birthday Grandma!

Day 92
Over 7lbs. 2oz. and over 3 months old! I had an ultrasound done on my back today to look at my spine and everything looks good. Yesterday we met with the lactation consultant and had a doctors appointment. Mom and I have been really busy going to all my appointments, but all the results have been positive. Soon we will won't have so many appointments to go to. We have been getting out for lots of walks during the day too, seeing the weather has been so gorgeous.

Day 85
What an exciting weekend! On Friday night Mom and Dad took me back to the hospital to see the nurses that looked after me for the first two months. They were all impressed with how much I had grown. It sure was nice to see them again.
When we got home from the hospital Grandma and Grandpa were at our house. They stayed until Sunday. I got lots of cuddle time with them. It was a great visit.
Dad didn't have to work on Monday because it was a long weekend. We spent lots of time together. We watched the Sens win on Saturday. Go Sens Go!

Day 80
Well Mom staying up and feeding me all night sure is paying off. I am 6 pounds 6 ounces! Hard to believe that I was ever 2.5 pounds. Despite the fact that Mom feels like she's always feeding me I still find time to suck my thumb.
Grandma and Grandpa Gainsbrook are coming to visit tomorrow and I am so excited. I haven't seen Grandpa since I was in the hospital. I hope he will want to watch the Sens game on Saturday.

Day 79
Not much new with me these days. Still just sleeping, eating and growing. Mom is going to take me to get weighed tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be over 6 pounds. Mom took me to the doctors this week to have my tongue clipped. After the consultation with the doctor she decided not to get it done. At this point it is not causing me any problems so she opted to wait.
My new thing this week is that I like to be held. If Mom or Dad put me down I get upset. Mom found she wasn't able to get much done during the day because she was holding me all the time. She decided to get me a new carrier that allows her to have her hands free while holding me. I find it really comfortable.

Day 73
I'm gaining over and ounce a day! Mom took me to get weighed yesterday and I am 5 pounds 10.5 ounces. Soon I'll be as big as a typical newborn. At the hospital when we go to get me weighed Mom always gets lots of questions from people. They see me in my car seat and ask how old I am. People are always shocked to hear that I am over two months old. Mom explains to them how big I am now.
Mom's friends threw a surprise shower/dinner for her last night. I got lots of fun new gifts from her friends and I got to spend the night with Dad. I'm spending tonight with Dad too while Mom plays ball. I think we are going to watch the Sens game again.

Day 70
Well today was a day of firsts. I had my first stroller ride around the block! Up until now Mom always carried me in her sling, but tonight we busted out the serious hardware and did some onroading. Woohoo! Also tonight I gave Mom and Dad their first dose of awake time. Usually I sleep, wake up and cry when I feel hungry, slurp back some milk and then immediately fall asleep again. Tonight I stayed awake! Mom and Dad kept looking at me...I kept looking at them...this silly thing went on for about half an hour before Mom finally pulled out a play mat for me to have some fun with.

Day 67
Here I am in my new Amby bed. I love it. Mommy can finally get some sleep.
I had my two month vaccinations this week. I hardly even cried, it was nothing compared to all the times I got poked while I was in the NICU.
I'm growing like a weed! I'm a whopping 5 pounds and 3 ounces now. That's over twice my birth weight.

Day 64
Dad bought me a Sens jersey today! Go Sens! Its a little big, but I'll fill it out soon enough!
My fancy new Amby bed is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Mom and Dad think this is going to stop me from fussing and crying all night long. Hahahah. No chance! Its going to take more than that to keep me quiet...

Day 61
1 week already! I can't believe that I have been at home for a week. Time sure does fly!
Mom and Dad seem to be adjusting well to having me at home, especially since they discovered the swing. It's my new favorite thing and keeps me happy for hours. My second favorite new thing is the fancy bath tub that Mom and Dad got for me. It sure beats the metal tub that they bathed me in at the hospital.
Grandma Hawley came over last night and cuddled me for nearly the whole hockey game. Sucks that the Senators lost!

Day 60
I'm 2 months old! Bust out the good Cabernet. Wait a minute, who is typing this blog? My tests went well today and I've turned into quite the little breast feeder. Even when I'm snuggling with Dad I'm searching for something to suck on!
To celebrate my first 60 days, I give you...lots of pictures of ME!
