Having fun being 3!

My little brother is 1! He and I are having so much fun playing together (most of the time)! I don't really like that he always wants to play with what I'm playing with, but I love getting him to chase me around the house. We also love to play on the stairs together and are having lots of fun in the swimming pool. Dex has started daycare and soon I'll be joining him at the same place. We'll be in different rooms though. Mommy is heading back to work but not before hosting a big Canada Day weekend. Should be fun. I'm excited to see everyone.

3 years already!!!!

I turned 3 today. It was a nice surprise actually because Mommy kept telling me that my Birthday was on Sunday. We had a great day and way too much chocolate! Grandma Hawley came for dinner and I got lots of phone calls from the rest of my extended family. It sure was nice talking to everyone. Here are a few pictures of the days events with a few of Dex thrown in. He just started crawling which is fun. I think soon we'll be spending a lot of time playing together!

More fun with my brother!

It was a cold Superbowl weekend here in Ottawa so Mom, Dad and I spent most of our time inside. I had fun playing with Dex and wheeling him around the house. I'm not wearing any pants because I've been peeing a lot in my underwear and Mom got sick of washing my pants. I'm just having too much fun playing with my brother to stop and go on the potty. Mom seems to mind the idea of me in wet underwear more than I do. Doesn't bother me a bit!

What do you mean I have to share?

So my brother is growing like crazy. I still love having him around and hugging him and kissing him, but I'm not so sure about sharing my toys. Now that he is sitting up on his own he loves to play with my toys. He chews on them and drools all over them. I like to swap out the toys he's playing with for some of my least favorite ones. He started eating solids too and it's been fun having lunch together with him. Dad and I have been doing lots of tobogganing and I've enjoyed spending lots of time outside. On the really cold days I stay inside and do some cooking with Mom. Here are some recent pictures.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It's 2010 and we had a wonderful Christmas together. We went to Barrie and spent some time with my Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. It was a lot of fun as usual. I got spoiled by Santa and Grandma! On Boxing Day we went skiing and tubing. It was a beautiful day out and we had so much fun. Once we got back to Ottawa for New Years our whole family got sick. We're still getting over it so New Year's Eve wasn't much of a celebration. Hopefully things will start looking up soon in 2010. One thing is for sure, I'm really starting to enjoy being a big brother. Dex is very curious about me and watches everything I do. I love hugging and kissing him and making him laugh. I think we're going to have a lot of fun together over the next year.
I am really doing well at the Montessori school that Mom and Dad put me in. I have lots of new friends. We had a couple of them over to our house over the holidays and that was a lot of fun. We played with my toys and decorated Christmas cookies. Mom also had her friend Thea over with her kids Cleante and Lacoste. That was fun too! I sure like showing off all my toys. I'll have to have some more play dates in the new year now that Santa brought me even more stuff to play with.

My first haircut!

OK so it had to happen eventually. With the arrival of the cold weather my signature curls went straight. I couldn't see where I was going because my hair was hanging down over my eyes. Mom decided she could tackle this task herself and cut it. Check out my new look and some recent fall photos. I sure am loving playing in all the leaves in our backyard. I'm sure I'll not be so keen in a few years when Mom and Dad have me helping them with the raking.
