Day 234

Well it's been a busy couple of weeks so I haven't had much time to write. Mom and I went to a Halloween get together with the ladies and babies on our street. I got to wear my shark costume but Mom didn't get any pictures. I'll have her take some on Halloween when I am wearing my costume again.
Dad, Mom and I went for a trip south of the border this week. They put me in my new car seat which I didn't find very comfortable. I cried, and cried, and cried. It wasn't a great car trip but I was fine once we got there. We got some winter tires for our car which should help keep us safe on the winter trips to Barrie to visit our family.
The weather has been really nice and we took a trip to Gatineau Park for a walk to check out all the fall colours. It was gorgeous! Mom forgot the camera again, but we got a few shots on Dad's phone. Aunt Steph lent us Lindsey's old outfit that has been keeping me warm on the colder days. Dad doesn't like the ears but I think I look pretty cute.
I had formula for the first time this weekend. It doesn't taste nearly as good as the milk I had been getting but it sits a lot better in my stomach. Mom and Dad were proud of me because I took the whole bottle no problem.
I got to spend some time with Grandma Hawley too because Mom and Dad played in a football tournament last weekend and went to see Bruce Springsteen in concert.

Congrats to Moms cousins Gina and John on the birth of baby Sadie, and to Aunt Steph for being done work for a year. I can't wait to meet my new cousin in a few weeks!

Day 225

I'm looking forward to spending some time with Grandma this weekend while Mom and Dad play in a football tournament and go see Bruce Springsteen. Other than that this week was somewhat uneventful. The weather is getting cold so Mom and I tried to get out for walks while the sun was out. We also did some shopping. We bought some stuff for when I get to start solid food. That is still over a month away but we are all prepared. Mom and Dad have been giving me lots of floor time since the physiotherapist advised against the jolly jumper and the exersaucer. Thankfully they still let me use those a little each day because I am really starting to have fun with them. Mom seemed to have the camera pointed on me all day today. She got lots of pictures and videos, here is a small sample. The video is of me when I just woke up from a nap. Mom told me she likes waking me up because I always give her a big smile. Dad told me that Mom doesn't smile like that when she wakes up!

Day 221

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

This year we took time to give thanks for me! :-) Well Mom, Dad and Grandma did anyway. We had a really nice long weekend. Dad played in the Nationals for football. His team did really well making it to Monday but lost in a close semi-final game. I went with Mom to watch. It was a real nail biter.
I spent Sunday at Grandma Hawleys house. I hung out with her while she made a big Thanksgiving feast for Mom and Dad. I got to sit on the table during dinner. Doubt they will let me do that for long!

Day 217

I had my first follow up clinic at CHEO today. I met with a nurse, a physiotherapist and a doctor who all checked my progress. They were happy to report that so far I am meeting all the expected milestones and they don't want to see me again until March. I am 16 lbs. which is a good size for my corrected age and my head is still huge, 98th percentile in fact!
After the follow up clinic I had a hearing test. I also passed this test with flying colours. They will test again in March but so far my hearing appears to be just fine.
I had my first trip to the USA this week. Mom, Thea and I went shopping for the day. I had intended to get Mom to take a picture of me at the border but I forgot. You'll have to settle for a picture of me in my exersaucer (which for the record the physiotherapist is not that keen on)!
